Miilux Protection 500 8 mm. 4.8 kg. Class 4+ body armor plate. This set of protective plates made of ultra-hard Finnish steel is a modern and sophisticated solution for personal safety. No additional shock absorber or fragment catcher is required. It undergoes two stages of ballistic testing: 1. Three shots to the chest with a 5.45×39 mm (7N10) bullet featuring a pointed tip, with a non-heat-treated steel core in a steel jacket (bullet velocity 910±15 m/s) from a distance of 10±0.5 m. The bullet weighs 3.6 g. 2. Three shots to the back of the test subject with a (57-N-323s) 7.62×54R mm rifle cartridge, with a non-heat-treated steel core in a steel jacket (bullet velocity 850±15 m/s) fired from a distance of 10±0.5 m. The bullet weighs 9.6 g. Test reports are available upon request. Material: Miilux 500 8 mm ballistic felt for fragment retention; rubber damper to reduce collateral trauma.
