M-Tac nylon belt with a plastic buckle. The advantage of this belt is that the buckle can be opened with one hand—which, in theory, allows a wounded soldier to remove unnecessary pieces of equipment on their own. This belt is a replica of the belt that was part of the American RPS (Restraint-Shoulder System), known as the A.L.I.C.E. system. (All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment), which was adopted by the U.S. Army in the early 1980s. It also works well simply as a belt, even if you don’t have any pouches.
