Skif Adventure II BSW Black Knife

The SKIF Adventure II knife is the new generation of one of the best models in the 400 Series. The knife’s shape and purpose remain unchanged—it’s still the same EDC for all occasions, though it’s also suitable for hiking and other outdoor activities. The new 9Cr18MoV blade steel, with a high carbon and chromium content, is slightly harder and more corrosion-resistant than its 8Cr13MoV predecessor. The straight bevels start at 1/3 of the way from the pommel; the upper part of the blade features a false edge and serrations. As a result, the knife delivers excellent piercing and cutting performance. The blade features a choil, which significantly improves control during delicate cuts. The Stonewash finish protects the knife from minor scratches and scuffs that can occur with frequent use. The knife opens using a thumb stud and a flipper, which creates a sort of hand rest—useful during forceful piercing. Thanks to the ball-bearing system, the blade extends smoothly and requires minimal effort to open. The lock is the tried-and-true Frame-Lock—incidentally, one of the most reliable locks among folding knives. A distinctive feature of this new generation of knives is the presence of finger grooves not only on the bolsters and handle but also on the flipper and lock plate. The handle is made of G10 material and provides an excellent grip even with wet hands or while wearing gloves. It features a clip that can be removed if necessary to use a lanyard, for which a hole is provided. Overall, the new generation of Adventure knives offers a fresh take on a time-tested classic.
